My name is Gary and, since 2016, YourWay Ireland has been my way of sharing everything I love about this wonderful island with visitors from far and wide. I left a media career behind to embark on something I truly love and the experiences I've had and the people I've met have ensured that it's one of the best decisions I've ever made. Initially, the focus was on 'supported self-drive' trips which married the independence of solo travel with the help and support of a local tour operator. We'd design a custom itinerary, book the accommodation and car rental and the guests would enjoy their trip knowing we were only a phone call away if they needed any help. It was a great system and continued to be part of our story but as the years went on, our private guided tours became our main focus. We invested in our luxury mini-coach to drive each and every road across the island that we could squeeze down. We adored the long summer days in the knowledge that the next one would be entirely different and the friends we've made along the way have been the most wonderful bonus that I could never have expected. Now it's time for the next chapter in the YourWay Ireland story. The travel hiatus between 2020 and 2022 changed quite a lot and although I was delighted to get back out on the road when the time allowed, it was time to focus on family. We know the Irish travel landscape as well as anyone possibly could. We know the people who make this land such a great place to visit. There's something unique to Ireland that can't always be captured in an online review. Of course, all the information is freely available and there are some great travel bloggers and journalists visiting Ireland and sharing their stories. However, we're still learning after all these years so it really does take an in depth understanding of the culture and stories of Ireland to be able to share experienced recommendations that will create lasting memories. Alongside that experience, we wanted to make sure that the product on the page was as beautiful as the scenery off it.
